As previewed in my previous post, this year I am planning to turn the Tim Holtz Tags 2016 into art journal pages. This month Tim has amalgamated his previously demonstrated “Chalkboard” technique and his “industrious metal” technique from previous years. Although the instructions show him creating a tag, my choice of fruit is the art journal. The challenges I will have is scaling up the ideas and filling the blanks as the journal is some 3 or 4 times larger to work with.
I’ve been meaning to try putting the edges of my journal through my Grand Caliber machine and I have to say that it was easy and it worked! I’ve listed my ingredients below…
Ingredients
- Alluminium foil tape
- Black acrylic paint
- Embossing folder (Tim Holtz / Sizzix)
- Black card
- Perfect medium ink pad and pen
- Frosted embossing powder by Ranger
- White chalk
- Stamp by Stampers Anonymous
- Idea-ology: gears, sprockets, spinner, screw mini brads, tissue tape, big chat word stickers
- Foam tape
