I’ve been having lots of fun this last week making super sparkly cards with the fabulous Sparkle pens from Spectrum Noir. I am soooo gutted that sparkle-vision hasn’t been invented yet but in real life theses samples sparkle like crazy. Tune into the shows on 15th October for a chance to seem them twinkle in front on the cameras! I’ve used a mixed bag of stamps available from Crafter’s Companion to highlight the versatility of these pens. I have used colours from the original packs: Spring / Summer / Autumn / Winter but don’t forget about the vintage hues and other special packs from designers at Crafter’s Companion.

Aqua Markers (for the skin): Sandstone and tawny
Watering can archival ink, gold glitter embossing powder, acetate, diorama card blank and Sheena stamping card.
Background was created by 1st and 2nd generation stamping all the different sentiment words and then painting on the sparkle pens.

The background was created by colouring (over the embossed feathers) just the top, middle and bottom of the card and then washing the colour through with water. Once dried I then splattered it with water and dried up the splashes with kitchen roll. The sentiment has also been stamped with sparkle pen. I used my stamping platform to get a strong stamp by being able to stamp it a couple of times.

The background was created by scribbling colours onto my craft mat and splashing the card into it. Once dry I stamped over the top with archival inks and with sparkle pen on the stamps

Sparkle pens: pink garnet, amethyst, rose quartz, aquamarine, cosmos
Watercolour card, gold glitter embossing powder
The background was created by scribbling onto my craft mat and splashing the card into it. The butterfly was colour by scribbling the pens onto it and then spritzing with water.
Stamps: Hydrangea Heart by Cherry Green
Sparkle pens: moonstone, moonlight, cosmos, amethyst, holly leaf, pink garnet, aquamarine, starry sky, solar red
Watercolour card, white embossing powder and plain white ribbon that was coloured with the sparkle pen.
